Liquid jet ejector – Selection procedure

I. Sample selection condition marked in the table in yellow band

  1. Required suction lift in MWC – Go to nearest higher suction lift in the performance table.
  2. Estimate the back pressure in the system, refer the table at nearest higher back pressure and motive horizontally to meet the nearest higher / equal required suction flow and fix it.
  3. Move vertically to select required motive pressure.
  4. Move vertically down to select required motive flow.
  5. Carry out above exercise in 2555 series first and subsequently with 2565 & 2575 series to select optimum ejector with least motive flow  and motive pressure requirement for the given suction flow and lift conditions.
  6. Note down the ejector reference number in the table for  identification .
  7. Go to dimensions table of catalogue to collect data on dimension of ejector corresponding to size.
  8. Refer the ejector as   “size-model-reference no”

                              2575 Series for Higher back pressure range.

  • Performance data table refers to test conditions with motive water @ 27 deg.C and Specific gravity 1.0, Viscosity – 1CP.

II. Sample selection condition marked in the table in green band

  1. For higher / lower suction flow requirements
  • First select an optimum ejector suction  flow for the given suction lift / back pressure and motive pressure.

  • Divide required suction flow by selected suction flow to get CR.

  • Go to capacity ratio table and select ejector size corresponding to nearest higher capacity ratio.

  • Go to dimensions table of catalogue to collect data on dimension of ejector corresponding to size.
